My Cousin Walt is an adult contemporary-punk/modified southern rock combo from Winston-Salem, NC. Singer/guitarist Mike Cobler formed the band in 2000 along with guitarist Greg Bell, bassist Scott Southerland and drummer Kevin Beroth. Scott left the band at the end of 2001 and Chris Myers (no relation to Chocolate Myers) took his place in 2002. Mike's songwriting has been described as a Bowman-Gray fan's dream, redneck yet sensitive as well. (Bowman-Gray Stadium is where the local racing series here in the Winston-Salem area takes place)
